SSGKobe dropped his new EP called, “U4 0.5” on March 26th, exclusively on Soundcloud. It contains 10 tracks and no features, and is his most recent drop since KO., an EP that dropped in 2021. He claimed that this is just to hold over his fans who have been waiting for a big, thoughtful and creative project from one of the younger stars in the industry.
SSGKobe is a rapper from Louisiana, with a flow and production that is up there with the best. The new generation of upcoming trap artists is in good hands for the future. He has made songs with $NOT, Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd and Lil Yachty. He is gaining more and more recognition and appeal from the new age rap community. This EP itself shows that he can do whatever it takes to reach the top, and has no plans of slowing down.
I enjoyed listening to this EP. If it was a foreshadow of what his first studio album will sound like, SSGKobe can be considered one of the rappers who are “next up”. If you aren’t tapped into him just yet, now will be the time to do so, and start by checking out this latest EP. My favorite songs from this project are, “NERF,” “OUR YEAR,” and “RICK OWENS COAT.”
