Iowa based artist GOE dropped off a new EP, “Out The Way.” The EP has no features with 5 tracks and a runtime of 7 minutes. GOE has a very unique flow for the California rap scene with it being very similar to the Detroit or Memphis rap scene right now but that versatility and uniqueness is part of what makes GOE such an interesting artist.
Throughout the project, we hear GOE express the type of fascinating life he lives with tracks like, “Barry Bonds” where we see him compare himself to the sports legend with the line, “I’m the Light in the dark, f*ck around and hit that b*tch out the park, she calls me barry bonds.” While he does spend time talking about how great his life may be now he doesn’t forget where he comes from and touches on the things he learned in his life with the final track, “Omega.”
GOE has already dropped two albums this year with “Freedom is a Luxury” and “Reset,” so whether he ends up dropping another project off this year, or working on music. The developing artist appears to be on the right path to making it up to the next level.
